On the way to Krakow we went to Auschwitz which was a very sobering experience.  It is amazing to hear and see what human beings can inflict upon one another.  For some the most moving display was the 2 tonnes of human hair, for others it was the children's toy, or the suitcases with the names on them.  There was a display of 40 000 shoes - adult ones and also another of children's shoes.
